Because that little idea that bubbled up in your imagination and forced you to step out against all the odds, into the harsh reality of the real world, is so powerful it has made you the champion of courage.

Be Nosy Founder Carina Cunha
Carina has designed a nose mask to protect us from the toxic air pollution that is killing us.
This week’s Brave New Girl guest is Dragon’s Den contestant, Carina Cunha, a behavioural economist & clean-air entrepreneur from Brazil, where she witnessed the devastating environmental effects of pollution. She founded Nosy using cutting edge science and state of the art technology to create a system that protects us from harmful exposure on our city streets.
Carina talks about the debatable benefit of bringing out a specialist mask made to tackle the impact of air pollution, just prior to a global pandemic in which suddenly for the first time in the history of humankind, everyone donned a mask to protect themselves from a hidden virus.
She also questions the accepted view of bringing a minimum viable product to market before it is really tried and tested for consumer appeal. It's been a steep learning curve on many fronts but she holds firm to her vision with courage and resilience.
Carina has dedicated her life and business to combating air pollution, firstly by giving us the protection, and then by creating systems that allow us to monitor our respiratory health so hopefully we can all work to clean up the air in our cities.
