When we are busy in life and work we try not to think about death and grief, but it comes to us all, and far better to have the an understanding of the coping tools, before you need them.

Opening up the conversation on grief

Let’s talk about it before we need to.

BNG podcast

This week’s Brave New Girl podcast guest is Sally Douglas co-host of Good Mourning podcast which is on a mission to normalise talking about grief, through wholehearted conversations with honesty and a sprinkle of humour. We all experience death at some point, so why is it still a taboo topic? Sally talks about her own experience of grief and how it has shaped her life.

Sally and I discuss bringing the taboo of death and grief to the surface so that we may all feel able to cope better when our time comes to experience the loss of loved ones, or to best support others who are going through this painful process.

Sally believes courage is the ability to feel and go through grief one day at a time; to accept what is and what can be, and to just keep going.

Choose courage

Accept the things that you cannot change, but be brave enough to change the things that you can.
